Beat the Streets-Columbus Brian Church- President & Executive Director of the Beat the Streets - Supports Event Left to Right: Tom Ryan-Head Coach Ohio State University with Brian Church and the Columbus BTS Team The event at Ohio State was the second annual Wrestle Against Autism, presented by Jeff Sitler of the Ohio Wrestling Officials Association , Coach Ryan and the Buckeyes. The proceeds from this event go to "Ethan for Autism" a NJ based foundation launched by Tom Ryan's sister, who also has a son with autism. Jeff has also appeared on Takedown Radio to promote the cause. He and Jason Bross, Assistant Coach, Monsignor Farrell HS, President of Pinning Down Autism, work toward the common goal leading wrestlers in the fight against autism. Jason has a son afflicted with Autism and wanted to help making people aware of the disease that afflicts 1 out of every 194 children with 1out of every 94 being boys in America. In 2007, he organized and developed the inaugural Takedown Wrestling Tournament and Barbecue held outdoors with providing an enjoyable day for all the participants and their families. Since the inaugural event, it has expanded to several other cities throughout the northeast hosting similar events. The local wrestling communities in these cities have rallied around Jason and these events are expanding each year.
