St. Louis Beat-the-Streets Youth Foundation (BTS) is a 501 (C) (3) tax exempt organization founded to empower at-risk children through competitive sports, musical arts and cultural enrichment programs. The organization is directed by Artie B. Walls, Jr., a veteran youth counselor, sports coach, professional musician and community leader. Our primary purpose is to transform the lives of young people. To help enable, promote, mentor and empower young people youth, ranging from the age of five through fourteen. We provide an outlet for parents at the lower economic rung, who are struggling with children with disciplinary issues. We seek these children early and help diffuse and redirect their negative energies through participation in sports, the musical arts and dance. BTS programs and activities help reduce the number of our young people roaming the streets, getting mixed up in youth violence and gang activities, and consequently the wrong side of the law. Specifically, we are requesting donations to assist in deferring some of the cost of paying for shuttle buses, registration and participation in AAU-USA Wrestling, Junior Football League, Competitive Junior & Little League Baseball and more. We also need your donation to help pay for training sessions and participation in interactive musical arts activities. BTS kids come from economically deprived and underserved communities, thus your contribution help accord these kids some of the opportunities readily accessible to their colleagues in the larger society. BTS kids are also encouraged to give back to the community by participating in food distribution to the elderly and shut-ins during Thanksgiving and other major holidays. Your donation is tax-deductible and could be in direct check payable to STL Beat-the- Streets Youth Foundation, or signed pledge to underwrite a specific sports or musical arts activity. Become a sponsor today, and join us to transform the lives of our young people. For your contribution, your name or company’s name will be acknowledged in our promotional brochures and various media campaign relating to our organization. Donors in excess of $1000 also receive 10 invitations to our special events, such as Annual Banquet, Concert, or other major events scheduled throughout the year. Thank you for your consideration of our request. If you have any questions, or would like more information, please call me at 314-546-2339 or 314-732-1170. Again, please make all donations payable to: STL Beat-the-Streets Youth Charities, Inc. P.O. Box 1913, St. Louis, MO 63043. Sincerely, Artie B. Walls, Jr. President |
